アドヴァンス・オーストラリア・フェア（英語: Advance Australia Fair、進め 美しのオーストラリア（すすめ うるわしのオーストラリア））はオーストラリアの国歌。

歴史

ピーター・ドッヅ・マコーミックにより1878年に創られ、同年11月30日（聖アンデレの日）にシドニー、Highland Societyでアンドリュー・フェアファクスによって初演された。間もなく人気を博し、1901年のオーストラリア連邦発足式で1万人の合唱が行われた。1907年にオーストラリア政府は創作を讃えマコーミックに100ポンドを授与した。

国歌に認定されるまでこの曲は様々な機会に使われていた。例えば、第二次世界大戦時は国営放送オーストラリア放送協会（ABC）はニュースの時に使った。また公の行事の開始、終了時に演奏された。

1974年に意見投票（オーストラリア統計局により6万人）が行われ、国歌として最適であるとされた。

1977年の国民投票で、この曲が他の3つを上回った。

2004年大晦日の祝典でシドニー市長クローヴァー・ムーア Clover Moore がこの曲のダンスリミックスに「ワルチング・マチルダ」の歌詞を乗せて演じ、複雑な反応を得た。以前には2003年にコメディアンのアダム・ヒルズにより、Jimmy barnesの "Working Class Man"にこの曲の歌詞をのせて発表された。

「ワルチング・マチルダ」は110年前からのオーストラリアの思想の一角をなすとして、今でも特に評価され、「ワルチング・マチルダ」の方が良いとも評される。多くの外国人は単純にこの歌を国歌だと思う。歌詞は、放浪の身の労働者が羊を盗んで食べてしまい、警察と地主から逃げるために池に入水すると言うもので、国歌にはふさわしくない内容とも思われるが、スワッグマン（swagman）の空想的な人物像、危なっかしい存在性、権威に対する頑な挑戦、荒野に生きる労働者階級であることなどを長年オーストラリア人は愛してきた。

歌詞

国歌に採用される際にイギリスの事が歌われるオリジナルの2番、4番、5番の歌詞は省かれ、3行が男女公平な言葉（例えば、who←he/she）に、「若い連邦 (youthful Commonwealth)」という言葉も見直された。
